Double Deep Pallet Racking is a smart choice for businesses that need to store more pallets while keeping costs low. Designed with back-to-back rows of selective racking, this system increases storage density without compromising on efficiency.
A variation of selective racking. Instead of single depth, racks are arranged two pallets deep (one behind another). Access is still from the front, but special forklift equipment (double-deep reach trucks) is often needed to reach the second pallet deep.
Double Deep Pallet Racking, one of our most popular systems, stores 2 pallets deep, or 4 pallets deep in a double entry rack. Double entry racks reduce the aisle to rack ratio while reducing pallet selectivity, increasing storage density. This system requires the use of a special reach forklift, which we can also supply, with either dual pantograph or slide fork attachments. Lift heights are limited by a load to about 9 meters. Upper levels can be fitted with guide rails to assist forklift drivers in locating pallets. These also help to reduce operator error and accidental impact damage.
